I must apologise to all those students who have expressed an interest in the study support project - the one that I announced at the end of the 2024 spring term to the bachelor students and at the beginning of the autumn term for the IT security masters students. As I said at the time the plan was to conduct the majority of the activity, including regular seminars, during this autumn term. I am afraid that I have been subject to a period of unexpected poor health that has meant that I have not been in a position to keep to those plans, and have as yet not even been in a position to plan for when I may be able to pick up the pieces.
I will endeavour to keep volunteers updated of any significant
changes to the situation. It is my hope that the volunteers will
still be interested and able to to participate whenever the
project can be re-initiated, though I shall not assume as much. I
would ask you to let me know if you no longer are in a position to
be a participant so that I might know if another round of
recruitment will be required later on.
In the mean time, I do not see any problems with a soft start to the subject matter. If any volunteers have any questions about the project or queries about evidence based study methods please feel free to drop me an email and I will do my best to supply you with useful answers and materials.
Best regards,
Alan
