Dear all,
Here is a reminder about the NLP group meeting tomorrow at 12-13 in M20, where Maria and
Magnus will present their work on multilingual text visualization.
Social event
Like last year, we will also have a picnic in Humlegården tomorrow at 6pm. Bring food and
drinks, and blankets if possible. You can, for example, buy pizza at Restaurang Esplanad
on Karlavägen 36. Hercules and I will also bring some drinks and coffee for everyone. Same
meeting spot as last year: between the Linnaeus statue and the Royal Library. Hope to see
you there!
Please sign up using the link below if you plan to join the picnic.
Best,
Aron and Hercules

by Maria Skeppstedt and Magnus Ahltorp.

Ahltorp (Computational Linguist, Nakajima Koen Research Institute)
Multilingual Text Visualisation with Word Rain and Topic Timelines
===================================================
The text visualisation methods Word Rain and Topic Timelines aim to provide the user with
an overview of large text collections. We will describe the theory behind the methods, and
why we developed them. We will also provide examples of how they are used for visualising
and exploring corpora belonging to different genres, e.g. parliamentary corpora, patient
organisation periodicals and texts about climate change.
===================================================
We also plan to arrange some kind of social event in the evening - more details to come!
Bring your lunch and we will arrange some “fika”. Welcome!
Aron & Hercules
