Dear ECSO-CMS 2024 participant,
Here is some information about Wi-Fi access and social networking:
1. If you have eduroam configured correctly, then you should be able to use it on our premises. Otherwise, you can avail of the SU guest Wi-Fi account that you can access via the attached one-time code.
2. As you can see from the programme<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/social-program/>, there is an informal post-conference farewell drinks suggestion for Friday evening. Those of you who are staying in Stockholm for the weekend can also join the ECSO-CMS 2024 WhatsApp group via the attached QR code. It's completely optional and merely a means for me to provide additional recreational suggestions to those who are interested, e.g., hiking in city parks, sightseeing, or boat trips to the archipelago.
Best regards,
Afzal

Dear ECSO-CMS 2024 delegate,
Thank you for participating in this year’s conference<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/>! I look forward to welcoming you to Stockholm next week. The scientific committee<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/chairs/> has prepared a compelling programme with 56 talks in the parallel sessions and three renowned plenary speakers<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/invited-speakers/>. This agenda will hopefully stimulate poignant exchanges, and the social programme<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/social-program/> should provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to soak up Stockholm’s best features during the long summer evenings. You will receive an e-mail from our conference-management partner, AK, about the venue, meals, and public transit.
The purpose of this e-mail is to fill you in on the procedures for the scientific programme, viz., your roles as session chairs and presenters. Here are the key points:
1. You can find the scientific programme<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/program/> online along with the book of abstracts.
2. The parallel sessions will take place in three locations: Aula Nod, L30, and L50. The latter is in use only on Friday for two sessions and requires local staff to let you in. A local conference representative will be available to guide you to L50.
3. Each parallel session has a session chair. The chair’s responsibility is to keep time and to moderate the discussion. I suggest 22 minutes per presentation including questions, and there is sufficient buffer to allow for switching speakers. I leave it up to each chair to decide how to allocate time equitably and to give speakers ample warning about remaining time per talk.
4. It is advisable to use one laptop per session and to load all of the slides onto it prior to the start of the session. My suggestion is to use the session chair’s laptop. Each room has a USB-C cable to enable connection of your laptop with the AV system. Staff will be on call to assist with any connection issues.
5. A guest Wi-Fi code will be provided in a separate e-mail. Alternatively, if you have eduroam configured on your devices, then it should also function.
If you have any questions about the scientific organisation of the conference, then please do not hesitate to contact me. In the meantime, you will receive additional information about conference logistics from AK as I had mentioned.
Best regards,
Afzal

Dear ECSO-CMS participants,
I appreciate that many of you have registered for the conference and finalised your abstracts. Those who haven’t done so should note that the deadline for early registration is on Wednesday, 15 May at 17:00 (Stockholm time). You may register via the following link:
https://registration.invajo.com/ea59d424-d6e9-416c-9353-ba40501f9d26
Otherwise, you may still register until 17 June at the full fee. Queries about registration, e.g., payment, should be directed to AK (ecso-cms2024(a)akademikonferens.se). Meanwhile, the abstracts may be finalised via Springer Nature EquinOCS (https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/ECSO-CMS2024). Thank you for your cooperation.
Best regards,
Afzal

Dear ECSO-CMS 2024 participant,
Welcome to the mailing list for ECSO-CMS 2024<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/>! As you may be aware, the submission deadline passed last month, and we have a total of 66 talks (62 regular submissions and four candidates for the best student paper) plus three plenary speakers. A draft programme<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/program/> is now available, and I have tried to accommodate any requests about scheduling and special sessions. Of course, please notify me (asiddiq(a)dsv.su.se) in case I have overlooked anything.
Here are some points to consider:
* Please finalise your abstract in EquinOCS<https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/ECSO-CMS2024> by 15 May. This is also the deadline for the early-bird registration fee.
* Queries about registration, e.g., payment, should be directed to AK (ecso-cms2024(a)akademikonferens.se).
* Registration<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/registration/> must be made by 17 June. Otherwise, the abstract will be deleted. This date is necessary to ensure that we have enough time to arrange travel cards, badges, and food.
* All deadlines are enforced at 17:00 (Stockholm time).
* For regular submissions, it is not compulsory to upload a full paper. EquinOCS seems to require a *.pdf file of the abstract to finalise the entry, however.
* For the candidates for the best student paper, the jury<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/phd-forum/> will coordinate the assessments by 30 April. At that point, the authors will receive feedback and have 15 days to make any desired changes to their submissions.
* Please make travel arrangements<https://ecso-cms2024.blogs.dsv.su.se/venue-travel/> soon.
* In case you have changed your mind about attendance, please let me know and delete your entry in EquinOCS. I can also remove you from this mailing list.
I look forward to welcoming you to Stockholm in July!
Best regards,
Afzal
